MAOB 16-25 is a 24-V motorised Venetian blind manufactured using aluminium slats measuring 16 mm or 25 mm in width, with a brushless motor located inside the head rail. The tilting and raising system operated by an encoder gearmotor allows function speed to be kept constant, thus resulting in synchronized tilting and raising of several blinds.

Special software permits the automatic set-up of the blind end stops by a process of self-learning. The motor has two speeds, since the blind will slow down next to the top and bottom end stops (so as to reduce stress on cords and ensure longer life to components) and in the slat tiling function, thus allowing more precise slat orientation. The motor and the entire electronic management system of the blind are housed within the head rail, on a shock absorber system designed to reduce any vibration and, consequently, possible “noise” effect. The slide is also equipped with a specially integrated electric socket with a snap-in connector allowing connection to the external power supply.

The Hall sensors, fitted inside the Brushless motor, send the most accurate position information to the electronic control board. This function, coupled to the position control system, ensures the utmost synchronisation regardless of blind size and weight. The rare-earth magnets and the high number of polar shoes of the Brushless motor generate a powerful braking effect (Cogging) upon motor shutdown. This feature is essential to keep track of the motor revolution number, to stop the blind with high precision and prevent the unpowered blind from moving downwards due to gravity.
